You don’t have to describe Muslum Gurses to anyone from Turkey… He’s a very bold, well-known Turkish folk singer, with a very unique “arabesque” style. Few years ago, he released an album called “Ask Tesadüfleri Sever”, which was totally different than his previous work. This was a collaboration with Murathan Mungan, where Muslum covered internationally popular rock and pop songs.
Here, I mixed Muslum Gurses’ cover for David Bowie – I’m deranged (which he named “Kis oldum”), along with Lullabies in the Dark‘s “Iridium”. The mix isn’t perfect – it needs more work, but I had a lot of fun while creating it on Ableton, and hope you do so, too, while listening. Cheers,
If you really like it, you can download the file from here. Also credits go to Murat Ilkdogan, who came up with the idea.
