Muslum Remixed: Kis oldum (thebluebear's iridium mix)

Muslum-tesadufYou don’t have to describe  Muslum Gurses to anyone from Turkey…  He’s a very bold, well-known Turkish folk singer, with a very unique “arabesque” style. Few years ago, he released an album called “Ask Tesadüfleri Sever”, which was totally different than his previous work. This was a collaboration with Murathan Mungan, where Muslum covered internationally popular rock and pop songs.

Here, I mixed Muslum Gurses’ cover for David Bowie – I’m deranged (which he named “Kis oldum”), along with Lullabies in the Dark‘s “Iridium”. The mix isn’t perfect – it needs more work, but I had a lot of fun while creating it on Ableton, and hope you do so, too, while listening. Cheers,

muslum gurses – ki…

If you really like it, you can download the file from here. Also credits go to Murat Ilkdogan, who came up with the idea.
